Chapter 8

This chapter was entitled "Patient Dogs and Wise Humans" and was about a lot of different ideas such as humans and dogs alike have expectations. When our expectations such as getting pop from a vending machine are not met, we get angry or frustrated at the machine for not fulfilling our requirements. Dogs are the same way with for example you offer them a treat for going in their crate and then you don't give it to them. this might cause the dog to want to bark more because it is not frustrated with you for not fulfilling its requirements and keeping the treat to yourself. It also mentioned how your not supposed to let your dog or dogs run inside after a walk or coming home from the vet, etc. because it would be the same rudeness factor as if you had 4 kids and they trampled you to get inside and unless there is a terrorist on the loose this isn't socially except-able. The remedy for this behavior is to have the dog wait at the door and enter the room, any room after the owner.
